Company Overview

The founder, Mr. Osman Ali Talab, a man of humble forbearing was born in Mombasa, Kenya in 1940. He started his career at a tender age of 15, as an artisan. In 1963 he migrated to Baroda, India and through sheer dint of his hard work and initiative, rose to become the head of "Structural Department" of a large industrial house and remained in employment up to the year 1969.

Having made Pune his base he laid the foundation of Talab Group which established Poona Radiators & Oilcoolers the flagship company of Talab Group. Business growth, product development and manufacturing specialization over a period of time has led our Management to set up multiple Companies to meet the diverse requirement of Original Equipment Manufacturers.

Constant innovation and design improvement coupled with rigorous Research and Development activity during the ensuing years saw the Product Line ever increasing and diversifying into a range of products in the "Heat Exchanger" family with major emphasis on the following products:

  • Radiators for heavy duty mobile applications.
  • Radiators for railway application.
  • Shell and Tube type Heat Exchangers.
  • Intercooler and Aftercooler.
  • Compressor Coolers.

One of the constituents of this Group Poona Radiator & Oilcoolers was one of the first in the country to obtain ISO-9000 Certification in October 1996 in the Radiator Industry when the Government had just started giving encouragement to the industries. Subsequently QS-9000 was obtained and presently we are certified as ISO-9001 : 2008 Company.

We have also implemented Six Sigma practice in our day to day operations.

The following Awards were conferred on the founder Mr. Osman Ali Talab:
a) Ugyog Patra Award for a Self Made Industrialist,
    conferred by the Vice – President of India in 1978
b) M.L. Dhanukar Entrepreneur Award in 1983.
